Floating Market at Damnoen Saduak & Kanchanaburi
Early morning, pick up from the hotel and drive around 110 kilometers to Damnoen Saduak District of Ratchaburi Province, passing by salt fields, rice fields, fruit orchards and coconut plantations. On the way, visit a villager house demonstrating how brown palm sugar which applied to Thai dishes and all kinds of sweets is made from a coconut nectar. Then board on a motorized long-tailed boat to the heart of the floating market. Observe the scene of a fascinating lifestyle of Thai villagers living along the canals. Then proceed by car to Kanchanaburi Province, 129 kilometres west of Bangkok, visiting the War Cemetery, which contains 6,982 war prisoners who lost their lives during the World War II at the hand of the Japanese Army during the construction of the Death Railways, visit as well the War Museum and the Bridge over the River Kwai, located on the bank of the Kwai Yai River.
